*Make a Bouquet of Flower Pens

Choose artificial flowers to your liking. Attach each flower to the top of a pen or pencil, using floral tape to keep it in place. Wrap the floral tape down the length of the writing instrument.

*Silhouettes

Have a student sit in front of a bright light. Move the light until a strong shadow is cast on the wall. Place a large piece of black construction paper where the shadow falls. Trace around the shadow until you have a crisp silhouette. Cut it out and display. You may want to frame it.

Jesus in My Heart

Cut out two pieces of cardstock, each measuring about 3 inches by 2 inches. On one of the pieces, draw an outline of a heart. On the other piece, write the word “Jesus” centered so that it would be within the heart if the heart were on the same card. Tape the inside of one card to a wooden skewer or a pencil. Place glue on the inner side of the other card and glue the two cards together. Jesus should be on one side, and the heart should be on the other side. Then spin the stick, and you will see Jesus in your heart!

Blow Eggs

Using a thumbtack, pierce a little hole into the top and bottom of the eggshell. Have students blow through one of the holes until all the contents are removed. Run water through the egg and blow again until the egg is clean. If the egg is not clean on the inside, it will soon smell like rotten eggs. Allow the egg to dry. Paint or decorate it as desired. Insert a string with a knot if you wish to hang them.
